Code of Conduct

This code of conduct governs the Isar Tech Leaders community Slack channels, in-person events, and all discussions facilitated by the organisers. Diversity and inclusion make our community strong. We encourage participation from leaders of every background and want to be clear about the environment we protect.

Our goal is to maintain a safe, helpful, and friendly experience for everyone—regardless of experience, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, personal appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, age, religion, nationality, or any other defining characteristic. These expectations apply in all community venues, online and offline, including one-on-one conversations that may affect a member's sense of safety.

Expected Behaviour

  • Be welcoming.
  • Be kind.
  • Look out for each other.
  • Treat others as they expect to be treated.

Unacceptable Behaviour

  • Conduct or speech that is sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, or otherwise discriminatory or offensive.
  • Using unwelcome, suggestive, derogatory, or inappropriate nicknames or terms.
  • Showing disrespect towards others, including jokes, dismissive attitudes, or repeatedly using incorrect pronouns after being corrected.
  • Intimidation or harassment, whether online or in person.
  • Disrespecting differences of opinion.
  • Inappropriate attention or contact; if someone indicates discomfort, stop.
  • Failing to distinguish constructive feedback from disparagement.
  • Sustained disruptions of conversations or events.
  • Violence, threats of violence, or violent language.

Inappropriate Usage

Our community is designed to add value to members' professional lives. Please do not use community spaces for direct sales or promotional outreach. Keep the focus on knowledge sharing, collaboration, and support.

Enforcement

Understand that speech and actions have consequences. Organisers will take any action they deem appropriate for violations, up to and including removal from the community. To report an issue, message an organiser directly in Slack or email hello@isartechleaders.com. Reports are treated confidentially.
